Unai Emery, the head coach of Aston Villa, held a press conference at the team's training ground, Bodymoor Heath, on Friday afternoon, where he spoke to the media about the team's Premier League match against Burnley this weekend.

When asked about how the team plans to bounce back from the loss to Manchester United, Emery replied, "We have been working hard to improve and analyze the team's performance thoroughly, and sometimes we have been successful. Whether it's the loss against Manchester or the draw against Sheffield United, we have stuck to our ways. We must try to understand how to shape the team's consistent mentality, whether in victory or defeat."

Regarding the high-pressing tactics employed by Villa, Emery stated, "I believe I have answered this question before, and I hope to continue building on the tactical setup. The players feel good about it and feel powerful. When things don't go well, the team will try to analyze deeply, but we won't change the style, the way we play, or the defensive structure we are building."

"In football matches, sometimes you have to take risks, but the most important thing is to maintain the demands in our tactical work, to become stronger in both attacking and defending, and to strive for consistency throughout the game. In the past two matches, we haven't been successful in terms of results, only achieving one point, but the players have played the way I wanted."

"I hope that even in defeat, the team doesn't change the way we want to accomplish our work and maintain a strong feeling of perseverance, rather than changing the outcome of the last two matches."

When asked about plans for the January transfer window, Emery said, "The team is currently analyzing and holding meetings with the board and the club owners to discuss improvements and adjustments in the squad. I am satisfied, and there might be some changes happening, but I can't say it is 100% certain."

"We will only take action when we truly have something that will help us in the coming month. The team will remain vigilant, and there could be some additions to the squad. Currently, we are satisfied with the players we have, they are performing well, showing commitment, and the competitive structure we are building is quite good. As for transfers, I am not sure of the direction at the moment."

Regarding team news, Emery mentioned, "Lucas Digne is injured and will be out of the team for a few weeks. He has been performing exceptionally well, but we will have Alex Moreno to replace him. I believe Moreno is ready, and hopefully, we can have Digne back in the next 20 to 25 days."

Speaking about the team's morale, Emery said, "Of course, there is some disappointment among the players after our past two matches, but we have analyzed and discussed it in meetings. We must accept the way the team is being built and respect the opponents."

"Seeing the league table after the first half of the season, everyone feels comfortable and has expectations. The team is currently ranked third, possibly fourth if Manchester City win against Brentford, but this is a real motivator for us."

"When things don't go as expected, it's not a setback – it's fair for every team. It will be challenging to maintain this position in the second half of the season, so we must stay strong and be satisfied with our position in the table. We must demand strictness from ourselves – the only way to do that is through hard work."

When asked about his expectations for the match against Burnley, Emery expressed, "I really appreciate their style of play and competitiveness – they are a team that can adapt to anything and have a strong positional play."

"They had success in the Championship and, despite a mediocre start in the Premier League, they made tactical adjustments to adapt. It will be a difficult match – similar to the challenge we faced against Sheffield United but with some differences. We will conduct a detailed tactical analysis of Burnley."

Reflecting on the loss to Manchester United, Emery shared, "I always demand a lot from myself, whether we succeed or not. In the first 60 minutes of the match, the players performed exactly as I expected, but with success came opportunities and some mistakes, especially in the finishing and scoring moments. It's what I've learned from my experience."
